TGMC Check Presentation - June 22, 2009 (Return Home) Cooper Life Fund is proud to make a contribution to theTerreonne General Medical Center (TGMC) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the amount of $6,250. This contribution is made with proceeds raised from the March 2009 Super Cooper Heart Run held in Houma, LA. The annual 5K race has raised a total of $41,250 in proceeds for the TGMC NICU over the previous 3 years. All proceeds from this race goes directly to families whose newborn babies are admitted into the TGMC-NICU ward. These families are provided with items that they generally would not receive or would otherwise have to pay for. Items such as diapers, wipes, pacifiers, bottles and rash ointment. In addition to these baby items, we also provide them with practical life items such as phone cards, gas cards, lodging vouchers, restaurant gift cards, etc. Our goal is to provide these families with an opportunity to focus on their newborn without having to worry about how they are going to make-do during these tough times. Our non-profit organization, Cooper Life Fund, is proud and honored to help these families get through the hardship of watching their babies fight for their lives. This is just another example of how every dark cloud has a silver lining. ~ The Fontenot Family Click here to read the Tri-PArish Times article on the presentation. |
