 | Cooper Life Fund is proud to present the 6th annual Super Cooper 5K & 1-Mile race in Houma, LA on Saturday, March 24, 2012. We are preparing another great race for everyone this year with all pre and post race activity occurring at The Workout Co on Corporate Drive. We are still ironing out race details such as music, food and fun for the racers and spectators. We are expecting more great food from Mark Arceneaux (Jambalaya), Pinocchio's Pizza & Chic-Fil-A along with fun things for the kids to enjoy post race. |
A reminder that only preregistered racers are guaranteed a race shirt, which will have a new look to the Super Cooper logo this year. Racers who register on race day will be issued shirts based upon availability. We do our best to have plenty of extra shirts on hand for race day, but we do recommend registering early to guarantee a shirt and to get the early entry discounted price.SPONSORSHIP opportunities are available. We are seeking all levels of sponsorships from monetary donations to door prize donations. With Cooper Life Fund being a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all contributions are 100% tax deductible. All contributors will receive a tax deductible receipt indicating the value of their contribution. DONATION FORM found here. VOLUNTEERS are needed. We appreciate all race day help on site and on the race route. Typically we need about 15 total volunteers before, during and after the race. Volunteering is fun and easy. COOPER LIFE FUND is a nonprofit organization named after Cooper Fontenot, the youngest son of John & Ashley Fontenot. Cooper was born with a serious heart defect and underwent several procedures in his first year of life, including open-heart surgery. Today Cooper is 7 years old, playing sports and being as active as a 1st grader can be. This race is a way for the Fontenot's to offer small miracles to children & their families who experienced the same tough challenges that Cooper and the entire Fontenot family went through. As always, 100% of proceeds raised from our Houma Super Cooper race help families whose children are born with serious health conditions and are admitted into Terrebonne General's Neonatal Intensive Care unit (NICU). All money raised stays right here in our community helping families from our community.
